Who am I?
I'm a queer leftist woman and a bit of a foodie. I enjoy heading out to the club, the beach, camping, and cuddling up on the couch to watch movies or play games with my mates. I crochet, play video games and learn other languages. I also spend a lot of time interacting with or speaking toki pona, which is where I get the name akesi suno (Shining Lizard).
Why Shining Lizard? Well, across many cultures, lizards are representitive of survival, renewl and intuition. Because of my family circumstances, I had to become independant very early, and it often felt like I was just barely surviving. In spite of my circumstances, however, I tried my best to remain positive and hold onto the hope that kept me moving forward, shining this hope and positivity of mine to others.In a way, akesi suno could also be translated as "hopeful survivor" but it would also lack the imagery and symbolism of both lizards and the sun that I adore so.
Voice Actor
Since I was little, I've always had a knack for impressions and mimicry. Combine this with a love of acting, and naturally, I voice act.
Designer and Animator
Graphic design is my passion. Seriously though, I love drawing and animating. I've been doing it as long as I've had access to paper and any drawing impliment of some description. Check out my projects.
Writer
I was a wattpad kid. What can I say, reading and writing are awesome. I'm probably gonna write a book or something at somepoint. More people need to read.
Programmer
I mean, I made this whole website. So I must have SOME interest in programming. Even if it's just html or css. Hopefully I can expand my horizions with more langauges though.
Musician
I love music SO MUCH. It helped me through many tough times, and now I make it myself too!
Conlanger
Wow, imagine if you could just invent your own languages or ways of speaking (shakespear who?). Oh wait you can! I love exploring people's ideas and systems for language, and toying with the very components that make up communication.
