Hi! I'm Samantha. You may also know me as jan Sami or akesi suno (Shining Lizard).
Why Shining Lizard? Well, across many cultures, lizards are representitive of survival, renewl and intuition. Because of my family circumstances, I mostly had to raise myself, and it often felt like I was just barely surviving. In spite of my circumstances, however, I tried my best to remain positive and hold onto the hope that kept me moving forward, shining this hope and positivity of mine to others.
In a way, akesi suno could also be translated as "hopeful survivor" but it would also lack the imagery and symbolism of both lizards and the sun that I adore so.
